What is the Process
Bio filler is created at the clinic during your appointment. A couple of vials of blood is drawn, then spun in the centrifuge. Then the plasma is removed and place in the heating device until the appropriate consistency is achieved.
Bio Filler isn't just a volumizer, it is a bio-stimulatory as well, this means it stimulates your body to create more collagen and elastin.
After the treatment it is advised to avoid blood thinners, hot tubs, saunas, extra hot showers, or ice packs for the first 2-3 days. A certain amount of swelling is expected and desired post treatment to initiate a healing response. Full resolution of swelling and bruising usually takes up to two weeks.
What is Bio Filler?
Bio Filler is made from your own blood plasma. When a vial of blood is spun in a centrifuge the red blood cells separate from the plasma, allowing for a high concentration of growth factors, stem cells, platelets and white blood cells to be gathered in the plasma fluid. By heating up this fluid, it turns it into a gel, which allows it to be injected like a dermal filler. The plasma gel lasts approximately 4-6 months, during this time it slowly releases the growth factors and stem cells, which promotes healing and collagen growth.
Where can it be used?
Bio Filler, also known as plasma gel or albumin gel, can be used anywhere in the face or body where volume loss has occurred. It can be used in areas to help enhance a feature and add contour. Popular areas are lips, cheeks, chin, and jawline.
One vial of bio filler will usually create approximately 2-4mls of product, depending on the client.
This will last 4-6 months before being reabsorbed by the body. There are no chemical additives to this filler, so the body will completely reabsorb it. The area injected will have created new collagen during the 4-6 months.
