What To Expect With Laser Hair Removal
The area being treated must be shaved within 24-48hrs prior to your appointment. Do not wear lotions, oils, make-up or deoderant on treatment area. The area should not be exposed to sunlight for more than 30 minutes (without sunblock) the 4-8wks prior to your appointment. This includes tanning beds, tanning lotion, and spray tans. Do not pluck, tweeze, wax, thread, or use depilatory creams on treatment area. Shaving only.
After the treatment, avoid hot tubs, saunas, extra hot showers, and vigorous exercise for 24hrs. It will take up to one week before the hairs treated will begin to fall out. At this time you may begin exfoliating. It may take up to 3 weeks for the treated hair to shed out completely. Blonde, red, white, and vellus hairs are not treatable. You may shave at any time after your treatment. Hair follicles cycle through growth phases, it takes approximately 6-8wks for a new growth phase to begin. Appointments are set 6-8 weeks apart for ten treatments total.
